ERHS Calendar - Week of 1/7/19

Dear ERHS Students and Community,

As we welcome everyone back from break, we hope all in the school community got off to a good start as we enter the new year. This past week, ERHS held its annual Fashion Show in support of Zimkids Orphanage in Zimbabwe. Thank you to everyone involved in this memorable event,  the models, performers, those that volunteered and made donations and especially Ms. Rubin and students Morgan G., Julia G., Haley R.. and Hannah F., who were instrumental in its success.  Over $1000 was raised during the evening for this worthy cause. If interested in further supporting Zimkids, including purchasing art work made from recycled materials by the orphans, please contact Ms. Rubin at arubin@erhsnyc.net.

This week, there are a few events that all in the community should be aware of, including a special non-league game by our Boys Basketball team against Pace High School at Barclays Center (Home of the Brooklyn Nets) on Monday, January 7, at 4pm. For tickets click here and to bid on special VIP offerings for the Brooklyn Nets, through a silent auction, click here. See more information in the General Announcements section of the calendar.

On Tuesday afternoon, our school’s Superintendent, Ms. Vivian Orlen will be visiting ERHS, visiting classes and meeting with our school Equity Team. We look forward to her visit.

On Friday, January 11, there will be a Winter Dance from 6:30 to 9:30 in the cafeteria. Thank you to all the faculty, staff and students involved. Come show your spirit and attend the dance. See the ElRo Corner, written by Student Government President Elina B. for more information.

Sincerely,

Mr. Saliani

Principal

This is also the area where you will look to see when sports interest meetings are planned for the upcoming season.  Remember, if you will be trying out for a team, you will need a current medical form filled out by a doctor, and a parent consent form. You can pick up both forms in the PE Office on the 2nd floor.
