Ms.Bernstein grew up in Rockland County, New York where she became an All- American track sprinter in the 100m dash as well as competing on the USA track Team in 97 for the Maccabiah Games. From her passions in sports and fitness she decided to become a Physical Education teacher. She has earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health and Physical Education at James Madison University and a Masters degree in Physical Education from Brooklyn College. She has been a Physical and Health Education Teacher for the past 16 years at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. Ms.Bernstein is a firm believer of incorporating long-life fitness skills into the classroom and incorporating the five components of fitness into her curriculum.
On her off time, she loves to spend time with three children. You might also see her running in Central Park, taking a bootcamp class, or running a zumba class with her students.
